Shake the Rafters
AGMC Presents:
Shake the Rafters
Get Ready to Shake the Rafters!
Start your vocal warm-ups because the Austin Gay Men’s Chorus is bringing you a show that’ll make your
heart swell and your ears thank you. Shake the Rafters isn’t just any concert—it’s a full-spectrum extravaganza of emotion, community, and vocal cords working overtime in the best way possible.
This spring, our performance will explore the full range of emotions that make us who we are—songs of love, resilience, and belonging. As a small teaser of what’s in store, we’ll journey through familiar melodies from The Beatles and Harry Styles, dive deep into the soulful storytelling of Sam Smith, and introduce you to the powerful arrangements of rising artist Pax Ressler.
Through music, we’ll create a space where we can connect, feel, and remind ourselves that we're never alone.
Whether you've been a lifelong AGMC fan, or this is your first queer choral experience, join us for a night that’s all about connection, community, and a little bit of glitter.
So, get your tickets, call your crew, and let’s Shake the Rafters like only we know how.

DragOut 2025
A Fundraiser? Honey, It's a Full-On Spectacle!
Listen up, dolls! DragOut 2025 isn’t just some boring ol’ bake sale fundraiser—it’s a full-blown, rhinestone-studded, high-note-hitting celebration of what’s next for the Austin Gay Men’s Chorus! ✨ We’re talking growth, glamour, and enough sequins to blind your ex from across the room.
Thanks to fabulous folks like you, we’re reaching heights higher than my hair, and making a bigger impact than ever before. Season 36 brought us a brand-new Artistic Director—yes, honey, a fabulous one—who’s taking us into a whole new era of showstopping performances and jaw-dropping moments. And guess what? We’re not done yet! Our next big move? Hiring our first-ever Executive Director, because world domination doesn’t happen without a little help, am I right?
And let’s talk numbers—because receipts matter! Just a few years ago, we were a cute little chorus of 45 singers, and now? 155 strong, baby! That’s right, we’ve practically tripled in size. Our audience? Up by 228% since Season 33! We’re basically the Beyoncé of choral music—bigger, bolder, and ready to take on the world.
We’re not just sitting pretty, either. We’ve been invited to slay stages at some of Austin’s most iconic events and collaborate with other incredible choruses. The spotlight is getting brighter, and honey, we’re just getting warmed up.
💄 Here’s how your support at DragOut 2025 helps us turn it up even more:
Bigger venues, because we need more room for all this fabulousness
Our first Executive Director—because stars need a manager, darling
Fiercer performances with top-tier lighting, sound, and guest artists
Showing up and showing out at Pride events and major Austin moments
Becoming one of the premier gay men’s choruses in the country (although out inclusivity embraces all of LGBTQIA+)—right up there with San Francisco, New York, Boston, Seattle, and even Mexico City!
So don’t just sit there looking pretty—grab your tickets, bring your besties, and join us at DragOut 2025 to be part of the next big act in our story. Come for the music, stay for the wigs.
When: Saturday, March 1, 7pm-9pm (Sashay in On Time)
Where: Oilcan Harry’s 211 W. 4th St, Austin TX 78701
